Grief Work is a one day workshop meant for both those who have experienced a loss and those who are supporting the bereaved. The day will be informational, conversational, and experiential. Some of the topics covered will be understanding loss and bereavement, the importance of grieving, spirituality, and how to cope with the painful feelings of grief. Additionally, the importance of grieving as a community will be explored. THE WORKSHOP IS FREE WITH LUNCH PROVIDED.
The workshop will be facilitated by Matthew O’Brien and Cristin Mahaffey. Matthew has worked as a hospice, military, and hospital chaplain. Cristin is a licensed therapist and has worked with many individuals and families going through grief.
