Our Mission | Becoming a community of believers intent on experiencing and sharing the renewing life and love of Jesus.

Three important things to know about our church…

WE ARE HARED TO FIND.  We worship and gather in a small building set back in a residential area along a neighborhood thoroughfare.  There is a small sign out front, but it isw hard to see, it is hard to turn into our driveway, and parking can be tight.  Sorry.  We think we ought to invest more of our resources on community and neighborhood involvement than trying to have a convenient place to meet…

WE ARE TOTALLY UNCOOL.  When we gather for worship, we like to think we have got some pretty good music and a pretty good “talk”.  Mostly, however, we gather to try to listen to what God is saying to us.  That means empowering a lot of different folks to have a voice in our worship and our other events, because we believe God speaks through each of us, not just through the professionals.  Sometimes it works, other times, not so much…

WE ARE ALLERGIC TO PROGRAM.  We do not think our lives need to be crowded with a long, busy list of church events.  Life is crowded enough.  It is space that we yearn for – the chance to have a coffee with friends, or linger in quiet conversations over a good book, or go for a bike ride together.  We try hard to keep our church schedule short and focused, and encourage one another to hang out together, looking for authentic community…

So, our small, hard-to-find, uncool, and allergic to program church may not be your cup of tea.  That’s OK.  But if you are looking for something different – a community of Christians who have more questions than answers; who try to love, accept, and forgive one another; who think true accountability is mutual; and who want nothing more than to follow Jesus daily in real life – you might try to find us.  We are four doors south of the bank building on the corner of Arlington and Madison.
